People Love Music is the joint ventures of Sprellemann and Dj Thor. They host club parties in various cities around Norway and currently hold down residencies at Oslo clubs like Living Room and Fugazi. The duo also creates music. They both have roots in Hip Hop but in the past years their solo productions have branched out into new directions; Sprellemann leaning toward electronica/dance, while Thors music is headed more toward Soul/Jazz. History of Music!!

The first kind of music was started in 2500 B.C.. Music is one of the oldest arts. It is a performing art. Around 10,000 B.C., people started to make flutes from hollow bones. People started singing just as soon as their language was developed. Egyptians, Chinese, and Babylonians used music in court and religious ceremonies, like at church. In Ancient Rome, people believed Apollo to be the god of music.

Different Kinds of Music!!

There are many kinds of music. here is a list of some different styles of music. click on each to find out more information about each one. you'll also get to the results of a survey we did at school showing what kids liked!

Rap

A lot of people like rap music, and rap a lot. Rap is a fast singing rhyming kind of music. It is the latest kind of music.

Country

Not a lot of kids listen to country music. If you do, you can listen to 98.7 FM in Washington D.C. They usually play country music with regular acoustic guitars.

Rock

Rock is a kind of music that you will usually use drums, keyboards, and electric guitars.Rock singers sing very loud.

Disco

A lot of kids liked this music 10-20 years ago. People take disco and mix it with rap, like Y Cleff Shawn.

Pop Rock

Pop is like a regular kind of music. Kids listen to it. Sometimes when you listen to pop, you can hear two of every kind of instrument from each family of instruments!

String instruments

are instruments that have strings. all you have to do is pluck the strings. They are made of different materials.

Woodwind instruments are instruments that you blow in and they make music. Each instrument has a lot of different holes on top to hold so you can make music.
